Clean and comfortable, Valley Vista House is a vintage character home set on ten beautiful, and (mostly) wild, rural, forest acres, with a pond to visit and observe the pond life.

The quiet, rural setting is less than a 10 minute drive to most of the major area attractions, beaches, activities, and more... We are only 1.5 miles from Highway 4A.

Quiet and private. A true "getaway" space. You shouldn't hear anything from the two seniors who inhabit the other two private units. The neighbourhood is usually very quiet but a summertime party occasionally occurs (not every year).

Two bedrooms upstairs, plus main floor sleeping accommodation.
Sleeps up to six-eight adult guests: (two-three more sleeping accommodations can be created for children)
1 luxury Queen bed (2 adults), 1 adjustable Twin bed with memory foam topper (1 adult), Hide-a-bed (2 adults), Twin raised air bed in computer alcove area (1 adult), two floor air mattresses (twins - 2 adults or children), 2 narrow floor foam beds (2 small children).

Window air conditioners are installed in the upstairs bedrooms during the summer months.

The home had a major rejuvenation completed on all its rooms in 2006.

Food is not supplied, but the house has a fully-supplied medium-sized kitchen (stove, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, cooking utensils, linens...)

The kitchen dining table seats six very comfortably, and eight or more if needed.

All linens, towels, etc. are supplied.

One and 1/2 Bathrooms. The full bathroom is on the main floor. The one-half washroom is upstairs and is easily accessed by both upstairs bedrooms.

Medium-sized living room with comfortable furniture. Easily seats 6 guests. A wood-burning stove fills one corner--nice for cool evenings.

Electric heating, plus wood burning, glass door stove in Living Room.

Satellite fed, large TV in the living room. (Star Choice - many channels). A small TV & VCR are in each of the upstairs bedrooms--good for movie watching! A satellite feed serves the Queen bedroom TV.

Private entry, keyless lock - each new set of guests is issued their personal entry code.

DVD, VCR, and CD players. Lots of movies (DVD & VHS), games, music CDs, and some books and magazines.

Ample Parking in private yard space.

plus 1 car, and more)

In-house Computer with High-speed Internet Connection, plus a wireless LAN is available for your personal laptop connection.

Pets (two small dogs* or a cat - pre-approved only). All pets must be closely supervised when outside the home.

Telephone: Internet telephony - Skype phone -- you should be able to connect to most phone numbers in the world. No charge if calling to other Skype users, small charges for "calling out" from Skype to non-Skype phones.

Also, your BELL-based cell phone, and many others should work, but out-of-area "pay and talk" phones don't work locally.

Smoking outside please - two small covered porches are available.

Wildlife in yard/field:
(Deer (often), Bear (some years), Eagles, Herons, rabbits, ducks, geese, plus....

Private computer lessons are available (for a fee). Linda, your host, recently retired from a long-time Computer Instructor position at our local college. She *loves* teaching computer skills!
